Academic Freedom
The URI Chapter of the American Association of University Professors represents the 800 full-time faculty at the University of Rhode Island. We collectively bargain wages, benefits, and terms and conditions of employment, with the Board of Trustees, we enforce the terms of the collective bargaining agreement through the grievance and arbitration procedure, and we work to protect academic freedom at the University of Rhode Island.
